This RAK PAK listing comes with 4U portable case, the 4U front rack panel, the 110 / 220vAC 30 amp power supply (see the picture of the tray with it there) already mounted, the KX3 & PX3 mounting bracket set and complete instructions. This way you order the package ready to use on arrival - plug and play! Want to slide it into the Shak Rak? Unscrew the 4 bolts and slide the tray out; plug it into the shack AC power; connect the antenna and start talking; this unit is ready to use mobile or fixed! OK so you are the off-roader type and you bought the set to take with you with its' portable battery inside; SO: you order the OPTIONAL internal PowerGATE board with 20 AH Lithium Iron-Phosphate lightweight battery pack and drive away. The photo shows both radio and amplifier images and NO they are not included! (Sorry 'bout that) The mike is upgraded to a Magnetic Mike Clip conversion kit (included) that sticks right to the side of the Go Box it is easy for you to convert your Elecraft hand mike to a nice magnetic clip. There is a 4 conductor mike extension and a 3 conductor KEY extension below the radio head pre-wired for plug-and play The steel tray is 14" deep; the panel is bolted to the tray with out custom corner brackets The KX series have very low audio out of the headphone jack so we have created an amplified version of our popular speakers just for this setup; it really works great and is several times louder than the radio by itself; very impressive and we make it 2 ways: Got a KXPA100? then order the extra 3U rack mount + dual Amplified Speakers OPTIONAL kit that you can increase the audio and RF output in a 3U package; that means the CASE will need to go up in size too....we should talk about this one eh? We offer a 2 speaker 2U or 3U version of amplified speakers that run on 12 volts right off the AC supply and bolt to the rear rack rails of the 4U case as an OPTION that isn't included in the above package...but you can have it your way: just ask! So here is what you need to do to get YOUR very own KX2 Shak Rak - Tote Pak: First contact us M-F 10a-6p Pacific Time and let's talk about what you got with your KX3+PX3 Assuming that you have both the KXPA100 and the KX3 you also need the Elecraft special KX2-KX3 conversion cable kit to make the amp key with a KX3 (an Elecraft afterthought) Then we discuss which items you have to send to us for us to make a few simple modifications. We have to make brackets to fit the KXPA but we do have the template for the KX3 & PX3. We supply the AC power supply, cord and DC input to the amp; and the amp supplies the DC to the KX3 - just be sure you get Elecraft's special cable. Want to add a rear panel I/O plate? We do those too; bring out the RF and AC connections easily. DO call and talk about this as they are quite complex and as Elecraft has made changes over the years... yours may be different.
