See Below** CHINESE SILK TAPESTRY CUSTOM OAK FRAME READY TO HANG This is a piece of silk, either a scarf or a tapestry (can't remember it was so long ago) that was left to my wife by her father. Where he obtained it is unknown but he was a semi-professional photographer specializing in black and white photos, so he took a liking to this particular piece. It was in a very cheap frame when it hung at their house, but about 40 years ago I had it framed by a Chinese artist that I knew, and what you see is his artistic creation (the framing, not the silk). My wife no longer wants this as she loves to change things. (It's amazing I'm still here after 50 years!) It is framed in oak and ready for hanging. There are two different mounts on the back: eyelets for double nails or adding a wire, and a serrated clip on the top for a single nail/screw/hook. It is in incredible condition ! The only visible flaw I could see was a teeny tiny mark on the side of the frame, as shown above. The silk piece does have a small crease in it from when it was obtained and folded, and you should be able to see that in the above picture. It measures roughly 23"x13" and is less than one 1" thick, glass and wooden frame. ABOUT SHIPPING THIS: I am not an art dealer, but have been selling on ebay for over 26 years with a sterling reputation. I DO KNOW HOW TO PACK! That said, there is no accounting for transport services and occasionally, glass breaks. It will be shipped insured against loss or damage so if it need to be repaired, you will be covered.
