Description
This is an antique lithograph by engraver/artist Urrabietta printed c1890 by Parisian firm Didot from a book of costumes from around the world. The plate was purchased from an antique book dealer in Los Angeles in the 1990's. It shows Geisha's in different activities of daily life-her toilette, entertaining with musical instruments, sleeping, etc. It has soft pastel colors on a sepia tinted ground set in a pale aqua paper matte in a dark brown bamboo wood frame with glass. It was custom framed by Aaron Bros. in Los Angeles, CA & has a hanging wire on the back.
