That means that if you use a power supply with greater current capacity and draw less than that rated current, you will be presenting a much higher voltage to your device and potentially causing damage! Example: If your analog wall wart is rated at 500 ma but you only draw 200 ma, the voltage WILL BE HIGHER and potentially damage your powered device!
