The Ohio Players were an American f unk and pop band from Dayton, Ohio , that put an indelible stamp on black music from the urban Midwest in the 1970s. The principal members were Clarence (“Satch”) Satchell (b. April 14, 1940, Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.—d. December 30, 1995, Dayton, Ohio), Leroy ("Sugarfoot") Bonner, Greg Webster (b. January 4, 1938, Hamilton), James (“Diamond”) Williams (b. March 27, 1950, Dayton), Marshall Jones (b. January 1, 1941, Dayton), Ralph (“Pee Wee”) Middlebrooks (b. August 20, 1939, La Grange, Georgia—d. October 13, 1996, Dayton), Marvin (“Merv”) Pierce (b. July 13, 1951, Dayton), Walter (“Junie”) Morrison (b. 1954, Dayton—d. January 21, 2017), and Billy Beck. Kerream Jones Kerream Jones was born in 1978 in Reading, PA and now resides in Atlanta, GA.Jones is a prolific artist whose work possesses a multifaceted and timeless quality. Beginning as an illustrator in high school, Kerream was first introduced to the art world through his imitations of comic book characters and sketches.Soon thereafter he was encouraged by an art teacher to examine the craft more seriously and challenge himself to seek his own style. After entering and winning several art contests, Kerream went on to attend the Art Institute of Atlanta, where he studied graphic design, and the American Intercontinental University in Atlanta, where he graduated with a degree in visual communications. Wasting little time, Kerream immediately set about the task of joining the art community in Atlanta and constructing a business operation that would serve as a platform for his burgeoning catalogue.He travels the country exhibiting his pieces and also operates his own fine art and publishing business, Kamarja Art. Jones’ work has led him to received commissions from Verzion Wireless, Pepsi, Upscale Magazine, Atlanta Tribune: The Magazine, the City Of Chicago, Martell and various non-profit organizations. Having developed an ever-growing following of art lovers, his work is in the hands of private collectors worldwide. Jones’ artwork portrays that of an older soul and gives you an inner look into his perspective of the world around him.
