Description
Stunning and unique Fine Art Photograph of Wild Horses beautiful Western landscape printed on sepia metallic paper. It has an ethereal, intentional, 'blurry' look up close but at a normal distance, it just looks dreamy. Very captivating. Measures : 32" x 24" Acquired in Los Angeles, circa 2008/9 at a then very well-known, established photography gallery on La Brea @ Beverly Boulevard called Photographers Gallery. It's modern, elegant and rustic. Custom Solid Rustic ($700) Wood Frame Available for free local pickup in Austin, Texas. Shipping: Shipping is set for UPS ground. If you'd like to arrange alternative shipping on your own, please message. (Unfortunately I can't locate my receipt/paperwork) the Artist was then a well-known LA-based architect who ventured into a limited run showcasing photography. The gallery was known for showcasing emerging artists alongside their famous exhibits. I had the art custom framed in LA using the Gallery's preferred vendor they used for all their shows. Original cost: The print was purchased from the gallery for $1700, the frame was an additional $700. Description of the metallic paper: Metallic photo paper offers a glossy finish that gives photographs a 3D effect. Photos printed in this glossy metallic style are vibrant, sharp, and defined. The image is just stunning and unique. I'd say this is something you buy because you find it beautiful, as I did, rather than it being from a well-known artist. The price takes into account the unique beauty of the image and the custom frame. The print is stunning - it's meant to be a bit blurry up close but when you look at it from any normal angle, it's dreamy. PLEASE READ: ***There is a damage on the print, unfortunately - however you can not see it at all when looking straight at the photo or from any hung angle - you can only see it when the print is lying down and you are looking at it from above - this was overlooked at the time of purchase, it has since been verified by a professional framer/art historian that said it is a chemical damage when the artists was printing herself. If you are interested in this piece, please message and I'll do my best to capture this damage - you can't notice it at all from the normal angles, but it is clear when looking at the print laying flat and looking onto it.
